Vertical colorful lines on screen

I'm encountering the vertical colorful line with black background at random.

Can anyone help, why this problem is happening? It's been only a year that I've bought the laptop.Horizontal and vertical lines

Hi,

If you attach the notebook to an external monitor, does the same thing happen on an external monitor or not? If it does not happen on an external monitor it is most likely a problem with the screen or the cable. If the PC is still under warranty you should get in contact with HP support directly:

If it also occurs on the external monitor, it could be a driver problem or a graphics hardware problem.
