Vertical scrolling lines in display

As the system starts up I see gibberish scrolling vertical lines. Tried to go into the BIOS at startup and I get a very similar display where nothing is readable. Also tried the installer USB drive and I get a similar display. 

Can tell what has gone bad any suggestions ?

Also from the product description looks like I have a nVidia GT 740M GPU . Is that replaceable ?
