Hello!
My laptop is an HP Victus Gaming Laptop 15. This is a very annoying issue regarding my laptop's monitor.
My laptop monitor is very wobbly. Every time I type, I can notice that it shakes back and forth and it sometimes makes me lose my focus.
If someone can help, I would greatly appreciate it and I can provide additional screenshots/images if requested.
Thanks!

Hi @vishnuh ,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing screen flickering on your HP Victus laptop. Screen flickering can be quite frustrating, but there are several potential causes and solutions you can try to resolve the issue. Here are some steps you can follow.
- Check for External Factors: Ensure there are no external factors causing the flickering. Check the display in different lighting conditions and angles to see if the problem persists.
- Restart your Laptop: Sometimes, a simple restart can fix temporary software glitches causing the flickering.
- Update Graphics Drivers: Outdated or corrupt graphics drivers can lead to display issues. Go to the HP website or the manufacturer's website and download the latest graphics drivers for your laptop model. Install the drivers and restart your laptop.
- Adjust Refresh Rate: Go to the display settings on your laptop and check the refresh rate. Set it to the recommended or default value.
- Disable Hardware Acceleration: In some cases, hardware acceleration in certain applications can cause screen flickering. Try disabling hardware acceleration in applications like web browsers (e.g., Google Chrome) and see if it helps.
- Boot into Safe Mode: Boot your laptop into Safe Mode to see if the flickering persists. If it doesn't, it could indicate that a third-party application or driver is causing the problem.
- Check for Malware: Run a full system scan using your antivirus software to ensure there are no malware or viruses affecting your system.
- Update BIOS: Check if there's a BIOS update available for your HP Victus 15 laptop. An outdated BIOS can sometimes cause display issues.
- Check for Loose Connections: If you're comfortable opening up your laptop, you can check for loose connections between the display panel and the motherboard.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
