HP Recommended

Specs show that this USB C port is high speed, and display capable.  Does not work with docking station or directly connected to a monitor.  Wondering if the USB specs listed for this device - actually are for this device.

Meanwhile, you can refer to the following link to resolve the issue:  

 

Perform a Hard Reset

  • Shut down the laptop.
  • Disconnect all external devices, including the dock.
  • Unplug the AC adapter.
  • Hold the Power button for 30 seconds.
  • Reconnect the AC adapter and turn the laptop on.
  • Test the USB-C connection again.

 Update Graphics Drivers

  • Right-click Start and open Device Manager.
  • Expand Display adapters.
  • Right-click both the Intel Graphics and NVIDIA Graphics adapters.
  • Select Update driver > Search automatically for drivers.
  • Restart the laptop after the updates.

Check Device Manager

  • Open Device Manager.
  • Expand:
  • Display adapters
  • Universal Serial Bus controllers
  • Look for any devices with a yellow warning icon.
  • If present, uninstall the affected device and restart the laptop to allow Windows to reinstall the driver.
