Hi @EmreCZ

Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.

I see what you mean from your screenshot — some windows look washed out, shiny, blurry, or incomplete and text sharpness is inconsistent between apps. Since this is a brand-new HP laptop, it’s most likely a driver or scaling issue, not failing hardware.

Here’s how you can fix it step by step:

1. Update Graphics Drivers

Open Device Manager → expand Display adapters.

Right-click your graphics card (Intel/AMD/NVIDIA) → Update driverSearch automatically for drivers.

Even better:

If Intel GPU → install Intel Graphics Command Center or Intel Driver & Support Assistant.

If NVIDIA GPU → install GeForce Experience and update drivers.

If AMD GPU → install Adrenalin Software and update drivers.

2. Fix Windows Scaling & ClearType

Right-click desktop → Display settings.

Make sure Scale is set to 100% or 125% (avoid weird custom %).

Set Display resolution to the laptop’s Recommended (native) resolution.

Type Adjust ClearType text in Start menu → follow the wizard to improve sharpness.

3. Disable GPU Driver Conflicts

Sometimes both Intel & NVIDIA/AMD drivers overlap (if you have dual graphics).

In Device Manager, check if both are installed and working.

If you see a yellow ⚠️ icon, reinstall that driver from HP’s official website for your exact model.

4. Windows Update & HP Support Assistant

Run Windows Update (Settings → Update & Security).

Install HP Support Assistant → it will fetch correct drivers for your hardware.

5. If Apps Still Look Broken

Some older apps don’t scale well on high-DPI screens. You can fix them individually:

Right-click app shortcut → Properties → Compatibility tab.

Check Override high DPI scaling behavior → set to System (Enhanced).

If after all this the problem persists even in UEFI or BIOS menus, it could point to a hardware issue with the panel itself — but since your screenshot shows it mainly in Windows apps, it’s almost certainly drivers + scaling.

Would you like me to pull the exact driver download page for your HP Pavilion model so you can reinstall the correct graphics driver directly?
