Hi has anyone else experienced a Black Screen event - My Laptop Video switches off completely for about 2-3 secs and then restarts very slowly . It also disables external webcam, requiring a restart of my browser.

This all began after this update 

2025-06 Cumulative Update for Windows 11 Version 24H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5063060)

We understand you're experiencing with your HP Envy x360 16-ac0000 after the Windows 11 KB5063060 (June 17, 2025) update. 

 

Roll Back Display Driver

Sometimes, Windows updates can conflict with the latest GPU drivers.

  • Press Windows + X → Select Device Manager
  • Expand Display adapters
  • Right-click your graphics driver (e.g., Intel or AMD) → Properties
  • Go to the Driver tab → Click Roll Back Driver (if available)
  • Restart your laptop

Update Graphics Driver from HP

HP may have released a compatible driver update post-KB5063060.

  • Visit the HP Software and Driver Downloads page
  • Enter your product: HP Envy x360 16-ac0000
  • Download and install the latest graphics driver and BIOS update (if available)
  • Restart your system

Disable Fast Startup

This can help with display initialization issues.

  • Go to Control PanelPower OptionsChoose what the power buttons do
  • Click Change settings that are currently unavailable
  • Uncheck Turn on fast startup
  • Save changes and restart

Uninstall the Problematic Update (Temporary Fix)

If the issue persists, you can uninstall the update until a fix is released.

  • Go to SettingsWindows UpdateUpdate History
  • Click Uninstall updates
  • Locate KB5063060 and uninstall it
  • Pause updates temporarily to prevent auto-reinstallation

No rollback option for the graphics driver so went for a re install instead..... So far this seems to have repaired my issue.
