Brand new laptop - display is washed out - external monitor looks great! Have tried troubleshooting and nothing has helped. My old HP laptop has much better display then this one. Going to return this one if I can't solve the issue promptly!
Checked for driver updates - all up to date
Windows has the latest update
Went through all display settings - tried different settings and then back to the original. Doesn't make any difference to this issue.
Tried the HP Chat troubleshooter - when it couldn't resolve the issue, it quit. No options.
Seems to be a good laptop but if I ever want to use it without the external monitor, it will be difficult to read some text and images are dreadful. I have the laptop display mirrored on my external monitor. I can barely read this screen on the laptop.
I've seen several other posts about this, but they all seem to be old.

I had already tried color calibration. It doesn't make any changes to this 'fog' effect. One thing that I see different is the Color Management. I am attaching a screenshot of the current settings. Please advise which one(s) should be changed.
