@Aagam4, Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
Let’s get that webcam back in action! 😊 Here are a few quick steps to help you troubleshoot:
Check the Camera Privacy Switch
Some HP laptops have a physical switch or keyboard shortcut (like F8 or F10) to turn the webcam on/off. Give that a try first!
Restart Your Laptop
It sounds simple, but a quick reboot can often fix temporary glitches.
Check Device Manager
- Press Windows + X and select Device Manager
- Expand Cameras or Imaging Devices
- Right-click your webcam and choose Enable (if it’s disabled) or Update driver
Camera App Test
Open the Camera app from the Start menu. If it shows an error, let us know what it says, that’ll help us dig deeper.
Privacy Settings
- Go to Settings > Privacy > Camera
- Make sure camera access is turned on for apps you want to use (like Zoom, Teams, etc.)
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
