Hi @Selva15,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your HP webcam is not working for video chats when connecting in Microsoft Teams, here are several troubleshooting steps you can follow to resolve the issue:
1. Check Your Teams Permissions
- Windows: Go to Settings > Privacy > Camera. Make sure access to the camera is allowed for Teams.
- Mac: Go to System Preferences > Security & Privacy > Privacy tab. Select Camera and ensure Teams is checked.
2. Check the Teams App Settings
- Within Teams, click on your profile picture at the top right, then select Settings > Devices. Ensure your HP webcam is selected under the Camera section.
3. Update Your Webcam Drivers
- Go to the HP Support website, find your product, and download the latest webcam drivers. Alternatively, you can go to Device Manager on Windows, find your webcam under Cameras, right-click, and select Update driver.
4. Check Your Webcam with Another Application
- Try using your HP webcam with another application, like the Camera app on Windows, to determine if the issue is with Teams or the webcam itself.
5. Check for Windows Updates
- Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update and check for updates. An outdated system can cause compatibility issues.
6. Reinstall Teams
- Sometimes, uninstalling and then reinstalling the Teams application can resolve unexpected issues.
7. Check Your Internet Connection
- A poor or unstable internet connection can affect video quality and operation. Ensure your internet connection is stable.
8. Check Teams Service Status
- Check the Office 365 Service Status or the Microsoft 365 Service health status to ensure there are no ongoing issues with Teams services.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
