Hi Folks,
Brand New HP ProBook 430 G7 and the WebCam is not working.
WebCam not showing in Device Manager.
USB Boot showing under Camera.
Windows 10 Pro 2004 with ALL the latest features and updates applied.
HP Support Assistant advising that ALL updates have been applied.
I have removed the USB Boot device and rebooted but still no joy.
I downloaded the Universal Camera driver from HP with still no joy.
The WebCam is pretty critical for me in the current climate for ZOOM and Team meetings.
Help...

Same here.
So far I have 4 laptops with the USB Boot webcam issue, mix of Probook 450 and 430 G7
Just started to happen out of the blue.
Tried reinstalling camera drivers, updating BIOS, Windows, ...
Can't fix it.
Opened tickets with HP and they are looking at replacing the webcam which I'm not convinced is the solution here.
Any other suggestions?

Well it seems unlikely that four webcams would fail at the same time!
I think that the answer is to run the HP Diagnostics UEFI program and get a Failure ID then you can report that to HP support who will help you fix the problem.
In Australia I can download the program from this page on the HP PC Hardware Diagnostics Website
https://www8.hp.com/us/en/campaigns/hpsupportassistant/pc-diags.html
You need to scroll down a bit to find the program and then, when run, if you get a failure ID there's a spot where you can enter it. Good Luck!

Hi Folks,
I sent the failure ID via the UEFI Diagnostics page and HP sent an Tech with a replacement WebCam......
The WebCam was replaced and we then lost the Camera in the device manager.
So no WebCam and no camera showing in device manager now.
Tech has requested replacement cables for the WebCam in case that is the issue.
Laptop only a few weeks old so not to impressed and if the cables don't fix it then may ask them to replace laptop as WebCam in current climate is critical to me.
