I have been using my webcam every Sunday to chat with family. A few weeks ago, my webcam just show a green screen. I have done what I could to see what was going on: disabling it and re-enabling it, restarting my computer and it doesn't seem to work. It just is when I use it on Messenger (I haven't tried using other video chat platforms since then). I opened up my camera app, and it runs just fine there. In the past it worked in other video chat platforms as well. So for the last 3 weeks, my family has seen a green screen. i really need help with trying to figure out what is going on with my webcam.

TL:DR- My webcam has worked up until 3 weeks ago, when it started showing a green screen. I tried what little I thought to do and it didn't work. I need help figuring out what's wrong and how to fix it.

I tried the solution you gave me. It worked initially, but it was a one time thing. I am still having issues with  the camera. I got an opinion from family and they said it could be a hardware issue. My  warranty is up, so is there something that I can do that's affordable?
