2017 HP Spectre x360 Convertible 15-ap012dx
Through all the windows updates my camera was working fine. My wife installed Zoom Client and the camera stopped working in all apps.
Ive tried every fix including forcing legacy drivers but nothing has worked. All apps have permission to access the camera.
I have reinstalled windows twice, including formatting the hard drive and updating windows and all HP drivers.
I installed Ubantu and it reports the camera is working but also gives a black screen.
All hardware tests report the camera is found and working. The camera light is on but the screen is black. If i take a photo or video, i get a timeout error. 0xA00F4292<PhotoCaptureStartTimeout>
I do not see a camera privacy switch anywhere and I am stumped.
As unlikely as it sounds, Is it possible that Zoom damaged the hardware?
