Hi, it’s a new laptop, while using the webcam, once I switch on the camera the first 10-15 secs the image is distorted and then once I touch the camera panel on machine it normalises. 
mis it a hardware issue or manufacturing defect..? Plz advise.

I reviewed your post and I understand that the webcam image is distorted when starting the webcam for the first 10-15 seconds.

 

Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.

 

I recommend you update the BIOS from the below link and check whether the issue is resolved.

If you continue facing the issue, then follow the below steps.

 

  • Change the image quality, brightness, contrast, and other adjustments in the webcam software.

To resolve problems with choppy playback, take the following actions:

  • Reduce the size of the video image in the webcam software.
  • Use a high-speed internet connection.
  • Do not use other high-speed USB devices while using the webcam.
