Product: HP 245 G7 Notebook PC
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)
After updating the BIOS to the latest version, I lost access to the webcam. It no longer appears in the Device Manager on Windows 10. I also have Fedora Linux version 40 installed in a dual-boot setup. The webcam even does not work in Fedora. That means updating the BIOS has done something that has made the webcam invisible to the operating systems.
FYI, HP Support Assistant offers no drivers to fix this issue. I found this other question where someone else had an identical problem. HP offered him a webcam firmware that fixed the problem for him. I want a firmware update for my webcam to fix this problem.
