The integrated webcan has a low picture quality. It means it is not sharp and flickers. All HW test do not show any problem.
The same result using Windows built in camera app and Youcam. The installed diver is a general windows driver dated 2006.06.21. HP Truevision HD Camera. I guess there shcould be a newer one avaiable, but can not find it on HP support section and it is not listed any driver under that notebook spec. either.
Have you any idea?
Thank you in advance!

Hi Bgabor,
Not sure if you've already tried this but return to device manager > cameras > right click > update driver.
But this time try this:
- Select Browse my computer for driver software.
- Select Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer.
- Select USB Video Device, select Next, and then follow the on-screen instructions. This might include restarting your PC.
After trying this and you're absolutely sure you have the updated drivers, try contacting support since this is a brand new laptop.

Hi Bgabor,
For drivers try this:
- Open Device Manager
- Expand Cameras
- Right click the webcam entity
- Hit Update Driver and choose automatically
I also do have to inform you that I have never seen a good quality webcam on a computer. Unless you have the Surface Book or something, most PCs come with webcams with 720p resolution and very poor performance in low light.

Hi Kem579,
thanks for the advise.
I tried that. Also tried disable and enable again. Remove the driver and automatic install again. No change.
Also installed HP driver update manager. It does not shows any driver for the webcam.
It is a brand new notebook.
I have another HP notebook which is 4 years old, it has a much better picture quality and it is not flickering at all. For that I found a dedicated and up to date driver from 2015 and is is not using the Microsoft diver from 2006.
Do you have any other advise? Thanks!

Hi kem579,
thanks for your advises. I am not sure exactly which of the actions mentioned above helped at the end, but after some restarts, the driver was just working properly, the camera quality is just as good what you can expect.
Thank again!
