Hi @Abid1294,
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your laptop!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
Try these steps:
Check the Webcam Privacy Switch/Shutter Key:
Ensure that your webcam is not turned off using the privacy switch or shutter key. The privacy switch is usually located on either side of your laptop or next to the webcam itself. Slide the switch or press the shutter key to enable the webcam.
Verify Webcam Access in Settings:
Windows 11:
- Right-click the Start button and select Settings > Privacy & Security > Camera.
- Ensure that the setting in the Camera access section is turned on.
- Under Let apps access your camera, turn on access for the necessary apps.
- From the Start menu, select Settings > Privacy > Camera.
- In the Allow apps to access your camera section, turn on the setting that applies to your camera.
- Under Choose which apps can access your camera, set your preferred individual settings to On or Off.
Update Drivers Using Device Manager:
- Open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start button and selecting Device Manager.
- Find Imaging devices, right-click your webcam, and select Update driver.
- Choose Search automatically for drivers and follow any on-screen instructions. If no update is found, you may need to install the webcam's drivers manually from the HP website.
Use HP Support Assistant:
- Open HP Support Assistant and check for updates.
- It can automatically find and install updates for your hardware, including the webcam.
Download Drivers from HP Support:
- Visit the HP Customer Support - Software and Driver Downloads page.
- Enter your serial number or model name (e.g., Victus by HP Gaming Laptop 15-fa0000).
- Download and install any available webcam or camera drivers.
I hope this helps.
I'm glad I could help! 😊 If this resolved your issue, please mark it as "Accepted Solution" and click "Yes" on "Was this reply helpful?" Your feedback not only keeps us going but also helps others find the solution faster! 👍✨
