Hey there! @APRILB419,

I have checked the specifications of your laptop, and your laptop is not compatible with HP stylus or active pen.

Refer the stylus compatibility guide for more information. Click Here

There are only a few models which are compatible and designed to work with the stylus.

As your laptop is not designed to work with the stylus. You cannot use HP active pen or stylus on your laptop.

However, you can try using a third party universal stylus.

Hope this answers your query!

Have a great day ahead! 🙂

Do you know of any third party pens that will work with my particular computer?  I have already bought one I had to return.

@APRILB419 I'm writing on behalf of my colleague @A4Apollo as the tech is out of the office for the day,

If your model is not listed in the link that was shared earlier but features a touch screen, it is still compatible with a passive stylus.

Passive styluses do not require batteries, do not have any configurable options, doesn't matter what brand it is either and do not use specific pen software.

If you wish to thank me for my efforts, you could click on "Accept as solution" on my post as the solution should help others too.
