HP laptop own internal display works ok with full 4-K resolution
Intel(R) USB 3.10 eXtensible Host Controller - 1.20 (Microsoft)
Goobay USB-C - DisplayPort adapter cable 1.2 m, max 4K 60 Hz
Monitor Acer ET430K Max 4K@60 Hz - works ok with other Windows 10 Dell PC with the same cable at 4K@60Hz!
When I unplug it from Dell and connect to HP then the max 4K option is missing.
At HP Windows 11 Display information gives 2560 x 1440, 59,95 Hz Max / Recommended
- 4K resolution is missing
- monitor works with lower resolutions
- audio goes thru monitor to external speakers ok
- unidentified USB device warning appeares
- Acer ET430K inf is installed, no help with that

Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.
Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, to provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details:
- Did this happen after a recent window or software update?
- When was the last time it worked fine?
Keep me posted for further assistance.

"Goobay USB-C - DisplayPort adapter cable 1.2 m, max 4K 60 Hz" never worked with this new HP laptop at full 4K but it works fine on my Dell work laptop at full 4K 60Hz at same monitor and input port. The new ELETRA USB-C HDMI AM cable works fine at full 4K 60Hz with the same monitor and it works with Dell work laptop too.
