Why does my Envy 4-1015 DX not recognize an external HP monitor? it is an EliteDisplay E190i. The cable is connected, but the monitor is not recognized by the laptop. I'm running Windows 7
I reviewed your post and I understand that the external monitor is not getting detected on the computer.
Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.
How is the monitor connected to the computer? (HDMI or VGA)
Meanwhile, I recommend update the BIOS and the graphics driver from the below link and check whether the issue is resolved.
