Hi @WeimMe,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your printer!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

  1. First, restart the Print Spooler service. Press Windows + R, type services.msc, and hit Enter. Find Print Spooler in the list, right-click, and select Restart. Set Startup type to Automatic (Right-click > Properties > Startup type > Automatic). Click OK, then Apply.

  2. Next, clear the print queue. Press Windows + R, type spool, and hit Enter. Open the PRINTERS folder and delete all files inside. Restart your PC and check if printing works.

  3. Then, update or reinstall printer drivers. Press Windows + X and select Device Manager. Expand Print queues, right-click your HP printer, and select Update driver. If the issue persists, uninstall the driver, restart your PC, and reinstall from HP’s official website.

  4. Run the Windows Printer Troubleshooter. Go to Settings > System > Troubleshoot > Other troubleshooters. Find Printer and click Run. Follow the on-screen instructions.

  5. Check for Windows updates. Go to Settings > Windows Update, click Check for updates, and install any pending updates.

  6. Check for malware. Since the issue occurs after downloading files, malware might be interfering with the print spooler. Run a scan using Windows Defender or Malwarebytes to check for threats.

Let me know if any of these steps fix it! 😊
