@pelledani,

Welcome to the HP Forums!

Thank you for posting your query on this forum, it's a great place to find answers.

I reviewed your post and I understand that you see a stripe on the display.

Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.

In order that I may provide you with an accurate solution, I will need a few more details.

  • When was the last time the computer was working fine?
  • Have you made any software or hardware changes on the computer?
  • Have you performed any troubleshooting steps before posting?

Meanwhile, I recommend you boot to BIOS by tapping the F10 key while starting the computer and check whether you see the stripe in BIOS as well.

If you see the stripe in bios as well then it is a hardware issue and I recommend you contact HP phone support to check the available service options.

Here is how you can get in touch with the phone support.

  1. Click on this link – www.hp.com/contacthp/
  2. Click on “Continue as guest”.
  3. Enter the serial of your device.
  4. Select the country from the drop-down.
  5. Click on “Show Options”.
  6. Fill the web-form. A case number and phone number will now populate for you.

If you do not see the stripe in the BIOS then I recommend you update the graphics, chipset driver and BIOS from the below link and then if it resolves the issue.

Let me know how it goes and you have a great day!
