I just bought a new HP Envy to use for recording audio from a Thunderbolt 2 interface. I bought it because it has a USB-C port however I am now not certain that HP is supporting Thunderbolt in these models. Does this notebook support Tunderbolt or do I have to return it ? There aren't any Thunderbolt 3 DAW audio interfaces yet so all I care about is the backwards compatability to Thunderbolt 1 and 2 but it is critical and the only reason that I bought it

It specs is very simple like
https://support.hp.com/au-en/document/c05803125
No information to determin which is which. No other document except one for the x360 15m series
Ports:
AC Smart Pin adapter plug
Audio-out (headphone)/audio-in (microphone) combo jack
HDMI v1.4 supporting up to 1920×1080 @ 60Hz
USB 3.x ports (2)
USB Type-C port
I believe this is not a Thunderbolt 3 port
Regards.
