Pavillion Laptop 15-cw1511na
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have trying to run 2 external monitors via an HDMI splitter cable going to the 1 HDMI port on the laptop. At best I get a duplicate image on both external monitors. I can extend the laptop screen and 1 monitor, but wondering if there is a way to not use the laptop screen and have both external monitors running as an extended screens?

Does the AMD Radeon Vega 6 Graphics adapter support 2 independent signals out of the 1 HDMI port on the laptop?

Welcome to HP Community

I have gone through your Post and would like to help

Yes ideally if you connect 2 external monitors the Notebook should detect 3 displays including the Notebook display. Now if you close the lid , it will detect 2 displays ( 2 external monitors ) and you need to make the changes to make one of the display as the main and the other one will act either as duplicate or extended

  1. Right-click anywhere on the Desktop screen, then select Display settings.

  2. Scroll to the bottom of the screen, then click Advanced display settings.

  3. If Windows is in an extended display environment and more than one monitor is active, select the monitor to adjust. Click Detect to find out which number represents each monitor.
