Welcome to the HP Support Community! I'd like to help!

I see you are experiencing gesture issues on the laptop after upgrading to Windows 11.

You can use these gestures on the touch screen of your Windows 11 device. To turn touch gestures on, select Start > Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Touch > Three- and four-finger touch gestures, and make sure it's turned on.

Note: When touch gestures are enabled, three- and four-finger interactions in your apps might not work. To continue using these interactions in your apps, turn off this setting.

Try out these gestures on the touchpad of your Windows 11 laptop. Some of these gestures will only work with precision touchpads. To find out if your laptop has one, select Start > Settings > Bluetooth & devices  > Touchpad.

You can also try the following suggestions in order to fix the gesture not working on Windows 11:

Update, Rollback or reinstall drivers.

Enable TouchPad from the configuration utility.

Enable TouchPad from the hardware key.

Run Hardware and Devices troubleshooter.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

Thank you for responding,

I appreciate your time and effort.

The issue is due to non-compatibility to drivers or other software compatibility issues. Touchpad gestures, including basic functions such as pinch, zoom, pan, are important features that help users to navigate around the OS.

Method 1: Enable Advance Touchpad in BIOS

The laptop comes with touchpad settings which you can switch between basic and advanced. While installing Windows 11 on your machine, you may have disabled the advanced touchpad option. And due to this, the gestures will not work.

Steps to enable advanced touchpad in BIOS settings:

  • Open BIOS setting on your laptop. The key combination to open BIOS is usually the F1, F10 & F2 keys.
  • Go into Main > Touchpad.
  • Choose the Advanced mode. Save settings and exit BIOS.

If the issue is not getting solved you can download the latest build of Windows 11 and install it on your PC.

If issue still persist then recommend you downgrade to Windows 10 until Microsoft fixes the issues in Windows 11 public release build.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
