Out of curiosity I used diskpart to activate the restore partitions. Big failure there too. The restore image has issues. Full restore yeilded no bootable O/S at all. The minimal recovery made it a little further. But once I booted in to safe mode the recovery tool said it failed and wouldn't let me do anything in order troubleshoot the original Windows 7 Ultimate x64 image.

@mdklassen
I'm still experiencing problems.
I have a hybrid video display:
AMD Radeon HD 6700M series
and
Intel HD Graphics 3000
I have entered the Safe Mode and disabled & unistalled & deleted the AMD Radeon HD 6700M series drivers.
Also used an application from AMD website to delete all related AMD Radeon HD 6700M series display files.
The PC works with the Intel HD Graphics 3000 driver. However, each time after exiting the Safe Mode and re-starting, Windows 10 reinstalls AMD Radeon HD 6700M series display driver and the PC display returns to a black display.
I have repeated this process several times with the same results.
Any further guidance to resolve this issue would be appreciated.
