Hello @smig_d

Thanks for reporting.

You are on an uncertain path with Windows 11 ...

Recommendation and solution

You should downgrade to Windows 10 because Windows 11 has not been officially tested and released by <HP> and there are no Windows 11 drivers  available.

(1) Backup < ALL > personal data (documents/pictures/videos etc...) to external <USB hard drive>

(2Please reinstall your operating system !

You need (another Windows computer) to prepare bootable <USB flash drive>

An unused or empty USB flash drive with at least 32 GB storage capacity is required.

Hi again. I was able to get my daughters laptop (Very similar to mine, HP Ryzen 5 with touchscreen) and was able to open the Bios update software, put it onto a USB drive and have now updated my laptop BIOS system. Please see screenshot below

Unfortunately it has not solve the the touchscreen issue.

What I did notice that on her laptop her touchscreen driver is in the 'Human Interfaces Devices', see photo below. On my laptop is under the 'Mice and other pointing devices' section, this an issue?

Hi again, after digging around on the internet it seems the problem is that a driver from eGalaxTouch has been installed and many others have had the same problem as me, it sees the touchscreen as a mouse. I can't roll-back to previous driver as it was a Windows 11 installation. Is there a HP driver specific to the Touchscreen? When I look on the drivers page on the HP site there doesn't seem to be a Touchscreen option

Hi again, it has been fixed!!! I was able to update driver and look for a driver on my computer rather than online. In the list was an option to change it from eGalaxTouch to 'USB input Device'. NOw working as it should!!! Screenshot below. Thanks for your help.
