When trying to set up Windows Hello facial recognition, the blue square in the configuration window never appears. I've already tried reinstalling drivers and nothing worked.

Welcome to the HP English Community --

According to the Specs, the camera is the required IR type .

Known Solutions here:

Most of the software / drivers are a couple of years old --

There is a newer BIOS to try if it is not already installed.

Reminder

Before you update the BIOS, do make sure you have all your critical files and data backed up to other than the local system.

What?

BIOS update usually works -- if it does not you do want to have access to your data if the system becomes unavailable.

Did you find anything else? Should I post another thread?

Sure - open a new thread - there might be magic I've missed.

Perhaps reference this thread to reduce the chance of duplication of answers.

Why?  "Hello" is Microsoft software -- there might be help at the source.
