Wrong Serial No.

Hope I can find help here.

I am looking for the proper driver that restores screen touch to an HP Pavilion x360-11", model 11-n010dx.

The serial no. ON THE CASE is CND4160GKD.

Repeatedly, that serial no. is rejected by the search engine, declaring it belongs to a 16" HP Pavilion running WIN 11 with a late-generation i7 CPU, clearly the wrong model.

DID HP screw up? Do they repurpose older serial nos.!?

As a result, I am never offered the correct drivers to download.

Any suggestions?

Hi:

Support for your PC has been retired since it is more than 10 years old which is also why the serial number doesn't work when you enter it in the support portal.

The reason you get a serial number for a newer and different model PC is yes, sometimes a serial number can get duplicated every 10 years because HP only uses one character in the serial number for the year of manufacture (0-9), and two characters for the week of manufacture (01-52).

The 4th character in the S/N is the year of manufacture, and the 5th and 6th characters of the S/N are the week of manufacture.

You didn't mention what operating system you are running on the PC, so I will assume Windows 10, and have provided the links to the applicable drivers needed for the touchscreen:
