So there is a largish yellow spot under the screen in the bottom left corner and now a new one on the bottom right. This doesn't affect the laptop other than being a mark. Everything is still running fine but it's just this mark has me worries. Is it because it is near a hinge? Or perhaps overheating?

Any advice would be great, and my warranty expires in 11 days so I'm hoping to get this sorted ASAP.

@Christy90

Welcome to the HP support community.

I understand that you are getting a yellow mark on the screen I am glad to assist you.

I recommend you attempt to access the BIOS screen by tapping on F10 while the computer is restarting,

If the issue persists in the BIOS screen which is outside Windows, it would confirm a hardware failure and you will need to contact HP to replace or repair the LCD,
However, if it doesn't show up in the BIOS, it would confirm a software issue and we'll need to reinstall or update the display drivers using the Official HP Website: Click here.

If the issue persists on the BIOS screen, This might require one on one interaction to fix the issue, I am sending you a private message with the steps to talk to HP support.

Please check the mailbox icon at the top-right corner of this screen.

I hope this helps resolve this issue completely.

If this helps, please mark the public post as an accepted solution so that it benefits several others.

Cheers
