Microsoft Windows 11

Model: 15s- fq2511tu

My laptop screen appears yellowish when first day i turn on my laptop. It makes me feel uncomfortable to look at the screen. i tried to configure or turn off/on the night light but does not help.

I tried to compare with my home PCs or monitor. obviously HP screen is yellowish. You can take a look at the photo attached.

Is it hardware issue? What can i do?

Hi @Lee2221,

Welcome to the HP Support Community

I understand you are facing an issue with your HP Laptop 15s-fq2511TU. Not to worry I will help you to get a resolution to resolve the issue.

To assist better:

  • Have you tried connecting the PC to an external monitor and check?
  • Any updates done ont he PC?
  • Have you removed all the stickers and protective tapes around the screen?

While you respond to that, Let's perform the below-mentioned steps to resolve the issue:

Power reset

  • Turn off the computer.
  • Disconnect the AC adapter.
  • Remove memory cards from the card reader slot.
  • Disconnect all nonessential peripheral devices, such as printers, scanners, external hard drives, and USB flash drives.
  • With the AC adapter unplugged, press and hold the power button for approximately 15 seconds.
  • Reconnect the AC adapter, and then turn on the computer.

Update Windows:

  • Select Start  > Settings  > Update & Security  > Windows Update , and then select Check for updates. If updates are available, install them.

Update Pending Drivers Using HP Support Assistant

  • Click the app icon in the taskbar, or search Windows for 'support assistant' to open the tool.
  • Click My devices in the top menu, and then click Updates in the My PC or My notebook pane.
  • Click Updates in the My notebook pane
  • Click Check for updates and messages to scan for new updates.
  • Updates list in HP Support Center
  • Review the list of updates. Updates with a yellow information icon are recommended. Updates with a blue information icon are optional.
  • Click the update name for a description, version number, and file size.
  • Select the box next to any updates you want to install, and then click Download and install.

If the issue persists, then please update the BIOS and Graphic Drivers Manually from this Link.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
