Hello,
I have a ZBook Studio G8 and a Fury G8 as well, both having troubles in keeping a high fps rate, actually the fps drops from over 120fps to about 20fps in FurMark FHD benchmark immediately after the first restart after OS installation or after Nvidia driver clean install. Same extremelly low fps happens in Superposition, Cinebench and, of course, no games are actually playable.

If I reinstall the video driver, even a non-video driver sometimes (like the chipset one) the fps goes sky high until I restart the laptop or until it gets into standby.
It happens the same on both Win10 and Win11, no matter if I use the default drivers that came with Windows Updates or the ones from the HP website (HP drivers were found based on S/N of each laptop, so I got perfect driver/hardware match).
Anyone has any idea how can I work this out? My ZBook Studio G5 is not having this behavior, also none of my desktop PCs.
Thank you!
L.E.: On battery use I get in Furmark FHD benchmark a fps higher than 60, while on power adapter (original 150W) I barely pass 20fps. So how come when I get the power adapter in the fps goes lower?

Looks like the power adapter I was using was the one from my ZBook Studio G5 and it was 150W model, while the ZBook Studio G8 was using a 230W power adapter. Now I'm using the 230W one and the fps is normal and stable, sorry for my above post, although it might help someone with a similar issue.
