I got a ZBook from work with a G4 Thunderbolt dock. I am using 2 21” HP monitors. They are connected to the monitors DVI port. The cable has a HDMI connector on the other end. If I use a hdmi to display port adapter connected to the dock, the second monitor is never detected. I also tried 2 monitors at work with display port plugs on one end and mini plug on the other. Still no 2nd display. If the are both connected to the dock, neither work. If 1 is disconnected, the other one will work. Is there something else that needs to be changed or a special cable for this or is this dock just a good paperweight. As a note, when the 2 external monitors are plugged in they do not show up in settings/display in Windows or the Intel video screens. If 1 is removed from the dock the other will show up in both screens.

Hi @Toytech
Which specific G4 dock do you have? What is the product number(SKU)?
Are you using the compatible HP Displayport to HDMI cables to connect to the displays?
Are the display input settings identical?
have you tested the displays one at a time with the known working cable?
Have you installed the driver and firmware from the HP support portal software and driver web document?
