Hello. I want to know  - What color depth (6-bit or 8-bit) does my laptop display support?

Hit Windows key

Type Display

Select Display settings then Advanced you should see something similar to the following image (my 11 years old external display)

It shows 6 bit in advance display section but I am not able to change it to 8 bit depth

No you can't that is what it supports. I think firmware/software may be able to fix it but I don't know which one. Just think.
