Microsoft Windows 11

Hello everyone,

I have a very annoying problem:

My notebook has a numeric keypad as part of the internal keyboard. This is activated when booting (NUM LOCK = ON).
When entering my Windows password, I enter the digits with the numeric keypad.
So far so good.

After starting, the numeric keypad gets disabled for whatever reason (I DO NOT press the NUM LOCK key!).

Unfortunately, the numeric keypad has no indicator light, so I cannot see when it gets deactivated.

I start the browser (Firefox, Chrome, whatever) - numeric keypad is off - I turn it on again.
I start CALC - number pad is off - I turn it on again (for the 2nd time in a row)
I start WRITE - Numpad is off - I turn it on again. (for the 3rd time)

Who keeps disabling my numeric keypad?

On the Windows side, I checked everything I found:

Regedit - InitialKeyboardIndicators - Value 2, current value +2, 2147483650 - I've tested all of them and until Windows logon is NUM BLOCK = ON, after that it's always deactivated.

Boot - switch NUM BLOCK = ON - reboot without login

Everything helps only up to the Windows Password.

What else could it be???

I do not know the problem from any other computer, which is why I have a strong suspicion that it is due to HP.
But how do I get the laptop to just set AND KEEP NUM BLOCK = ON always and everytime ?????

Best regards
Besch
