@Zer0Reddy, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding brightness not working!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Here are some general troubleshooting steps you could try:

Update Graphics Drivers: Ensure that your graphics card drivers are up-to-date. You can do this via the Device Manager in Windows or by visiting the manufacturer’s website for your graphics card.

Check Power Settings: Go to Settings > System > Power & Sleep > Additional Power Settings. Make sure that the power plan settings are correct and that you have not disabled adaptive brightness.

Reinstall Monitor Drivers: In Device Manager, head to the Monitors section, right-click your monitor, and choose 'Uninstall device'. Restart your computer, and Windows should automatically reinstall the driver.

Windows Updates: Ensure your Windows system is up-to-date as sometimes newer updates can fix existing bugs.

Check BIOS Settings: Occasionally, brightness settings can be influenced by BIOS settings. Make sure your BIOS settings are up to date and configured correctly.

Hope this helps!

Take care, and have an amazing day!
