Hi @PolloLoco,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

To reinstall your camera driver, you can try these steps.

Device Manager Reinstall:

  • Press Win + X and select Device Manager.
  • Go to Cameras (or Imaging Devices if you’re on an older version of Windows).
  • Right-click on your camera and select Scan for hardware changes. This may reinstall the driver automatically.

Windows Update:

  • Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update.
  • Click on Check for updates. Windows may detect the missing driver and reinstall it.

HP Support Website:

  • Go to HP Customer Support - Software and Driver Downloads and enter your laptop model.
  • Download the camera driver listed under Driver - Camera or similar.

HP Support Assistant (if installed):

  • Open HP Support Assistant from your start menu.
  • Select My devices and click on Updates to check for the camera driver update.

After installing, restart your laptop to ensure the driver is fully active.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
