Hi @abhi11267

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query.

I understand that your camera drivers are not appearing in Device Manager, it can make using your webcam difficult. Here are some steps to troubleshoot and attempt to resolve the issue:

Enable Camera in Privacy Settings

  • Windows may block camera access if privacy settings are disabled.
  • Go to Settings → Privacy → Camera
  • Turn on Allow apps to access your camera
  • Ensure specific apps (Zoom, Teams, etc.) have camera access enabled

Show Hidden Devices in Device Manager

  • Sometimes the camera is hidden and not visible by default.
  • Open Device Manager → View → Show hidden devices
  • Look under Imaging devices or Cameras
  • If listed, right-click → Enable device

Check BIOS Settings

  • Some systems allow disabling the camera at BIOS level.
  • Restart PC → Press Esc/F2/F10/Del during startup
  • Enter BIOS/UEFI settings
  • Ensure Integrated Camera is enabled

Update Windows System Software

  • Outdated system files can prevent drivers from appearing.
  • Go to Settings → Update & Security → Windows Update
  • Click Check for updates
  • Install all pending updates

Reinstall System Software

  • Resetting Windows can restore missing drivers but may affect settings.
  • Go to Settings → Update & Security → Recovery
  • Choose Reset this PC
  • Select Keep my files option
  • Follow prompts to reinstall system software

Use HP Recovery Manager

  • HP PCs include a tool to reinstall hardware drivers.
  • Open HP Recovery Manager → Windows Recovery Environment → Hardware driver reinstallation
  • Select Camera driver
  • Follow prompts to reinstall

Hope this helps, Please revert if the issue persists.

Take care and have an amazing day!

I'm an HP Employee.
