Hi @rahul334,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I understand your HP laptop camera is not working. This issue is often caused by disabled camera permissions, an outdated or corrupted camera driver, or the camera being disabled in the BIOS.

Try these steps:

  1. Check the camera privacy settings:

    • If your laptop has a physical camera shutter, make sure it is open.

    • Press the camera privacy key (often F8 or F10 with a camera icon) to ensure the camera is enabled.

    • Go to Settings > Privacy & Security > Camera and make sure camera access is turned On.

  2. Reinstall the camera driver:

    • Right-click Start > Device Manager.

    • Expand Cameras, right-click your webcam, and select Uninstall device.

    • Restart the laptop to allow Windows to reinstall the driver automatically.

  3. Reset the Camera app:

    • Go to Settings > Apps > Installed Apps > Camera > Advanced options.

    • Select Reset to clear any corrupted app settings.

  4. Verify the camera is enabled in BIOS:

    • Restart the laptop and press F10 repeatedly to enter BIOS.

    • Confirm that Integrated Camera is set to Enabled.

These steps resolve most HP laptop camera issues caused by software settings or driver problems.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a great day!

I'm an HP Employee.
