Hi @harsh_2410 ,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand you are getting the error code 0xA00F4244 usually indicates that the system cannot find or detect your camera. Here are steps to resolve the issue:

1. Confirm Hardware Functionality

  • Check if the camera is enabled with the keyboard shortcut (usually a key with a camera icon, possibly paired with the Fn key).
  • Inspect the camera for any physical blockages, such as a privacy shutter or cover.

2. Reinstall Camera Drivers

  1. Press Win + X and select Device Manager.
  2. Expand Imaging devices or Cameras.
  3. Right-click on your camera device and select Uninstall device.
  4. Reboot your laptop. Windows will automatically reinstall the default camera drivers.

3. Check Privacy Settings

  1. Go to Settings > Privacy & security > Camera.
  2. Ensure that Camera access is turned On.
  3. Scroll down to Let apps access your camera and ensure the apps you use are toggled On.

4. Test Camera with Another App

  • Use a different app like Skype, Zoom, or a third-party camera testing app to check if the issue persists.

5. Update Windows

  1. Open Settings > Windows Update > Check for updates.
  2. Install any pending updates.

6. Manually Update Camera Drivers

  1. Visit the HP Support website and download the latest drivers for the Victus by HP Gaming Laptop 15-fa0000.
  2. Install the camera driver specific to your laptop.

7. Run the Hardware and Devices Troubleshooter

  1. Press Win + R, type msdt.exe -id DeviceDiagnostic, and press Enter.
  2. Follow the on-screen instructions to detect and fix hardware issues.

8. Test in Clean Boot

  • Boot your system in clean mode to rule out third-party interference:
    1. Press Win + R, type msconfig, and press Enter.
    2. Under the Services tab, check Hide all Microsoft services and then click Disable all.
    3. Go to the Startup tab and click Open Task Manager.
    4. Disable all startup items.
    5. Restart your laptop and test the camera.

9. Hardware Diagnosis

  • Use HP's diagnostic tools:
    1. Restart your system and press Esc repeatedly, then select System Diagnostics.
    2. Run a camera hardware test.
