Hi @harsh_2410 ,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand you are getting the error code 0xA00F4244 usually indicates that the system cannot find or detect your camera. Here are steps to resolve the issue:
1. Confirm Hardware Functionality
- Check if the camera is enabled with the keyboard shortcut (usually a key with a camera icon, possibly paired with the Fn key).
- Inspect the camera for any physical blockages, such as a privacy shutter or cover.
2. Reinstall Camera Drivers
- Press Win + X and select Device Manager.
- Expand Imaging devices or Cameras.
- Right-click on your camera device and select Uninstall device.
- Reboot your laptop. Windows will automatically reinstall the default camera drivers.
3. Check Privacy Settings
- Go to Settings > Privacy & security > Camera.
- Ensure that Camera access is turned On.
- Scroll down to Let apps access your camera and ensure the apps you use are toggled On.
4. Test Camera with Another App
- Use a different app like Skype, Zoom, or a third-party camera testing app to check if the issue persists.
5. Update Windows
- Open Settings > Windows Update > Check for updates.
- Install any pending updates.
6. Manually Update Camera Drivers
- Visit the HP Support website and download the latest drivers for the Victus by HP Gaming Laptop 15-fa0000.
- Install the camera driver specific to your laptop.
7. Run the Hardware and Devices Troubleshooter
- Press Win + R, type msdt.exe -id DeviceDiagnostic, and press Enter.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to detect and fix hardware issues.
8. Test in Clean Boot
- Boot your system in clean mode to rule out third-party interference:
- Press Win + R, type msconfig, and press Enter.
- Under the Services tab, check Hide all Microsoft services and then click Disable all.
- Go to the Startup tab and click Open Task Manager.
- Disable all startup items.
- Restart your laptop and test the camera.
9. Hardware Diagnosis
- Use HP's diagnostic tools:
- Restart your system and press Esc repeatedly, then select System Diagnostics.
- Run a camera hardware test.
