I have an EliteBook 830 G5. I am trying to connect external monitors using HDMI. I have a Thunderbolt to Dual HDMI adapter but when I plug it in the laptop screen goes black and the external monitor but it does not respond, leaving me with a black screen that displays nothing.
it was working fine, and suddenly HDMI and also the hardware are damaged, but it's not the case
i have made a full system diagnostics, and troubleshot everything, from the BIOS to the services, or drivers, installed new fresh windows 11 and also 10
I can plug the same adapter into my other hp 850 G5 laptop and it works flawlessly driving my external monitor allowing me to extend the external and the laptop screen effetely
i had never encountered such problems with other PC brands, is the problem related to HP only or windows 11?
