i cannot detect my camera

I understand your device is not detecting the camera. Let’s go through a few steps to check what could be causing this.

Check the camera connection and privacy settings
Open Windows Settings → Privacy → Camera.
Make sure access for the device and apps is turned on.

Confirm the camera is enabled in Device Manager
Press Windows + X → Device Manager → Cameras.
If the camera shows a down arrow or is missing, right-click and select Enable device.

Update or reinstall the camera driver
In Device Manager, right-click the camera and choose Update driver → Search automatically.
If that doesn’t work, uninstall the driver, restart the PC, and Windows should reinstall it.

Check for conflicting software
Close any apps that might be using the camera (Zoom, Teams, etc.).
Only one app can access the camera at a time.

Test with the Camera app
Open the Windows Camera app and see if the camera works.
If it still doesn’t, the issue may be hardware-related or require firmware update.

Run Windows troubleshooting
Go to Settings → Update & Security → Troubleshoot → Additional troubleshooters → Camera.
Follow the prompts to detect and fix issues automatically.

Check BIOS/UEFI settings
Restart the computer and enter BIOS/UEFI.
Make sure the integrated camera is enabled if there’s a toggle option.
