HP Laptop 14-cf0xxx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I bought this HP laptop for my daughter to use for middle school and decided to get a decent model that would last her until high school with enough horsepower and memory to handle MS office and be a backup computer for the family.  Not too long after she started using it I noticed the left clickpad button would depress much farther and would work only a portion of the time; the right clickpad button worked just fine.  While under warranty, notified HP and had them fix the clickpad so it didn't depress so far.  I am not sure if they replaced the whole click/touch pad or not, but I was happy at the time.  Fast forward several months and now the left clickpad button doesn't work again and it again depresses much farther into the case than the right clickpad button.  What gives?  Is this clickpad a bad design?  Unfortunately, now my warranty has expired...  A clickpad button should not fail this quick and with so little use.  My daughter has had a wireless mouse since I bought the laptop so I can assure you that she has used the wireless mouse the vast majority of the time she has used it..  What gives?  In my 15+ years of using Dell laptops for work I have never had the click/track pad go bad.  Note:  I ran the diagnostic tool and the left clickpad button fails the test.  Please help!
