clickpad o el mause tactil de mi portatil no aparece en ninguna parte, esta desinstalado

El clickpad o touchpad de mi portátil no aparece en ninguna parte he intentado habilitarlo de todas las formas posible pero el problema es de hardware ya que no aparece descargado la opcion del clickpad en las configuraciones del mause no esta descargado y me toca usar un mause externo, como hago que funcione nuevamente el clickpad si es problema de hardware porque no esta descargado el clickpad
