HP 17.3 inch Laptop PC 17-c1000 (4B770AV)

My HP 17-cn1063cl laptop is not detecting additional displays. I just ordered a new HP USB-C G5 docking station to connect the additional monitors through. Cabling is connected correctly (Display to HDMI - DS to Monitor respectively) but system is not detecting monitors. Any suggestions on what I am doing wrong or if the system is not capable of displaying multiple monitors?

Hi,

The USB-C on your notebook is only for data transfer. It does not support DP alt mode which is necessary to get the monitors working on your docking station.

1 SuperSpeed USB Type-C® 5Gbps signaling rate;

USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C (supports data transfer)

Hope it helps,

David
