Hi,
I am having trouble connecting an external monitor to my OMEN 17 laptop via Dell DA305, they should be compatible, but it just does not work (anymore).

Upon first connection with my laptop (OMEN ck-1002nc) (cooling system (USB), numeric keyboard (USB), monitor (HDMI), ethernet cable) everything worked fine, then I tried it with my ipad (just to see if it worked as intended, as it was the secondary device I was going to use it with) then the laptop again.

Then the ipad again (now only TV), up until this point everything was fine.

Then I connected it to the laptop again (all itmes listed above were connected simultaneously), this time all apart from the monitor worked fine, unplugging and plugging back in, or restarting the laptop as adviced in the troubleshooter did not work.

After it failed I tried to check if it woudl work with the ipad and with everythig plugged in it worked (the monitor too).

I do not have a DP cable to try that one out. I also updated the firmware (of the DA305) while I was trying to fix this issue, reinstalled the GPU driver and chcecked if I have the newest version of windows (10 64-bit).

What can I do to fix this issue? Is this just a failure of this one piece, or something that occurs normally?
