Hello,
I'm having issues with my laptop default keyboard, whenever I type certain keys it will added keys that I didn't enter, for example "h" will enter h6, backspace will put a # amongst other things, but its not every key. I'm having to plug in a external keyboard, I have done a full reset and that didn't resolve it, checked and updated windows and optional drivers and still not resolved, along with this when external keyboard is plugged in and I start to type, the snipping/ screenshot bar repeatedly appears at the top of the screen and then doesn't allow to to type until I cross it off, it will do that continuously for around 1-2 mins then will stop.

@Courtm24, Welcome to HP Support Community,
Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue
Disable the Laptop’s Built-in Keyboard
This will stop it from interfering.
Press Win + X → choose Device Manager
Expand Keyboards
Right-click Standard PS/2 Keyboard → choose Uninstall device
Restart your laptop (disconnect from internet so Windows doesn't reinstall it)
Use your external keyboard
Turn Off Snipping Tool Shortcut
To stop it from popping up:
Press Win + I → Go to Accessibility > Keyboard
Turn Sticky Keys, Filter Keys, and Toggle Keys → Off
Also go to Settings > Gaming > Game Bar → Turn off shortcuts
Check If It’s a Hardware Problem
You can test the keyboard:
Turn off your laptop
Press the power button, then press Esc repeatedly
Press F2 for Hardware Diagnostics
Run the Keyboard Test
I hope this helps.
Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.
Take care and have a good day.
