Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I'd like to buy a monitor that supports 10 bit colour but no point if the graphics cards will only do 8 bit

If the monitor supports that resolution it should work fine and also, the refresh rate can be set based on the supported refresh rate on the monitor.

Thanks!

I reviewed your post and I understand that you want to know whether the Nvidia MX150 graphics card supports 10bit color.

Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.

I would like to inform you that the Nvidia MX150 and the Intel UHD 620 don’t support 10bit color output.

Let me know how it goes and you have a great day!

Thank you for your quick response.  It is much appreciated.

I have another related question.  The native resolution of my laptop as it is set up just now is 1920 x 1080.  The external monitor i am considering has a native resolution of 1920x1200.  Will the UHD 620 support this resolution?

A couple of associated questions:

  • If it does output/support that resolution do you know what the frame frequency (refresh rate?) would be?
  • If the laptop as it is set up just now with drivers installed by HP restricts the card from operating at 1920 x 1200, would installing an Intel driver allow it to work, and would you recommend this?

Many thanks for your support
