Hi @vicoss,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your HP Spectre x360 Convertible Laptop's touch screen stopped working after formatting, you likely need to reinstall the appropriate drivers. Here's what you can try.
Download and Install Drivers from HP Website
- Go to the official HP Support Page.
- Enter your laptop model: HP Spectre x360 Convertible 14.
- Look for "Drivers & Software" for your specific model.
- Download any available drivers related to Touch Screen or Chipset.
Check for Windows Update
Sometimes Windows automatically downloads drivers. You can:
- Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update.
- Check for updates and install any pending updates, including optional drivers.
Device Manager Check
- Press Windows Key + X and select Device Manager.
- Expand Human Interface Devices and check if the HID-compliant touch screen is listed.
- If missing, right-click and choose Scan for hardware changes.
- If present but not working, right-click and select Update driver.
These steps should help restore the touch screen functionality.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
