Hello, I have some problems with the drivers after installing a new Windows, I lost all the drivers, including the video card disappeared in the device manager (there is no driver, most likely for it to work), so I have been trying for two months to understand what I tried to install the driver from the official NVIDIA website, and after installing the driver it says this:

and the video card with the device manager disappeared, installed all the chip sets, and drivers but could not install the NVIDIA High-Definition (HD) Graphics driver, and 527.56-notebook-win10-win11-64bit-international-dch-whql, and after the chip- system update sets, it writes to me either that the OS does not fit or it is impossible to install NVIDIA, please find me drivers for the NVIDIA GTX 1660 ti video card with max-Q, for my computer, because I have already tried everything I can

Hi @kloferie,

Welcome to the HP Support Community

I understand you are facing an issue with your HP Pavilion Gaming Laptop - 17-Cd1775ng. Not to worry I will help you to get a resolution to resolve the issue.

Please follow the below steps:

Step 1: Restart PC

Restarting your machine is the first thing we advise before trying any method. Rebooting will fix all temporary issues or corrupted files that may be causing the NVIDIA driver not compatible with this version of Windows error.

1. Hit the Windows key.

2. Click on the Power icon.

3. Finally, select the Restart option.

select the Restart option

If it doesn’t work, then try the other methods listed below.

Step 2: Update Windows

Updating the system can also solve the problem of the NVIDIA driver not being compatible with this version of Windows.

Most of the latest drivers are made and designed as per the latest operating system out in the market. If you are using an outdated Windows version, then it is possible that the driver may not function properly.

So, it is advisable to update your PC.

Update Windows to latest version

Step 3: Rollback NVIDIA Driver Updates

You should try to roll back your driver to the previous version. If you have recently made some changes regarding NVIDIA driver and right after that you started facing the error message – the standard NVIDIA graphics driver is not compatible with this version of Windows.

roll back nvidia driver

Step 4: Reinstall NVIDIA Drivers

If none of the methods mentioned above works for you then reinstall the NVIDIA drivers. The best part about downloading drivers from the NVIDIA drivers download page is that it will automatically detect the most recent driver for your computer.

Follow these steps to fix NVIDIA driver not compatible with this version of Windows by using the Geforce Experience app.

1. Visit the NVIDIA GeForce Experience download page and click on Download Now. download nvidia geforce experience

2. Then go to your Downloads folder and double-click on the downloaded .exe file.

Open GeForce Experience

5. Go to the Drivers tab and click on CHECK FOR UPDATES. The latest drivers will be displayed as per system requirements.

Hello, I was looking for drivers in the root of the laptop and found my video card so here I installed all the NVIDIA drivers, and I stopped giving an error when installing drivers from NVIDIA, except for NVIDIA Control Panel, and geforce experience, so I installed the driver from the PC, and I write the following: This device does not work correctly, because Windows can not load the necessary drivers for it. (code 31)

and , There are not enough system resources to complete the API call.
