Product: hp envy 360 touch smart
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have a hp360 x360 touch smart.I am trying to add a monitor (which does work) i have tried both hdmi and vga. minor success, the screen will show the first screen with icons but nothing else. any suggestions

Sounds like you have the display options set to Mirror; you need to change them to Extend.
